Packed with crazy shred from various continents, Ryan Mulroney (USA), Lynton Stephens (AUS), Adrian Dick (NZD) plus heaps more kickers from New Zealand and Australia made this weekend a huge success. Up n' coming talent was shining through from Jonathan Murphy (16yrs from NZ) and Dan Ednie (15yrs from Australia). The gods smiled once again and sun was cast upon the previously rain and wind battered city of Wellington. We had to bail to a rain venue on Friday, but it couldn't hold back the hein shred. Saturday saw Chaffers Park come alive with all sorts of freestyle action, from bodypainting to graffiti bombing, Dj'ing to Capoeira and the biggest crowd goes to...dum da da dum da dum...the footbaggers. Heaps of people checking out the skills for the semis routines and everyone got amped off the energy. Sunday, finals in Te Papa (our National Museum). What an awesome venue, surrounded by Native Bush and birds and us in the middle in a, what looked to be, a purpose built footbag amphitheatre. Heaps of public in support, and sunshine all the way.
