As a professional photographer, he donated huge amounts of his real time and money to the sport of footbag -- a million thanks go to him and his assistant Sebastien for all their hard work. If you want any of the photos you see in hardcopy, please e-mail me and I will facilitate ordering them from him (he charges around $10/photo for 8x10's). As for the rest of the results from Worlds, down to last place in each event, I'm unfortunately a little behind. I should have that up sometime this coming week. I'll be sure to announce when the results are ready. Sorry but it's a lot of work (though thanks to Sharon and Kevin it's a lot less work than it could be!). Steve P.S. There are still some killer events coming up (Cal States, Illinois, Vancouver, Funtastik, The Beaver, Eugene, etc.) -- so please check http://www.footbag.org/events/ for more information! MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-announce@footbag.org Make your plans now! Show up for the 18th Annual Beaver Open Footbag Tournament (for info go to http://www.footbag.org/events/) and witness things heretofore not seen in the sport of footbag. Mainly, Jeff "Animal" Johnson will be getting married AT the event! Now for the facts and rumors: Fact: Kenny Shults will be at the Beav, as usual. Fact: Shults has become much more, shall we say, "plump" since last year's Worlds and has been trying to "melt the pounds away" by fishing and golfing. Fact: This is a bad strategy for weight control. Rumor: From a reliable source, I have it that Shults (the plump bump with a rump like a stump) has been cross-training by biking to and from work, has an eye towards doubles net at the '99 worlds, sees freestyle as the best training medium he has to prepare for that, and will be dusting off both his freestyle and net shoes at the Beaver his year. Fact: Shults got into a freestyle circle at Worlds this year and suffered some severe paddlings from all-to-eager shredders. In a recent conversation he mentioned "Peter Irish" and "raising a blister" in the same sentence. (However he WAS able to bust out a move he had never hit before, a double- spinnig mobius.) Rumor: He will be in the same lousy shape at the Beaver Open this year, easy prey for net players or freestylers who would like to "give something back" to the guy who "gave so much" to them. Please note, the rumors mentioned above are just that - rumors. You'll just have to show up and see for yourself, or read about it later... Kick On, Paul V.
