To: footbag@footbag.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-footbag@footbag.org Hey Kickers, I just wanted to shout out a big, *big*, BIG thanks to Crass & Juliet, and the entire Worlds 2000 Staff and volunteers. You guys all did a great job, and every expectation I had about Vancouver and Worlds were easily met. You have a great group of people up there in Vancouver, and the hospitality we received while being there was "World" class. You even remembered to schedule the good weather, aside from the light sprinkles and cloud cover on the weekend. There were many magical moments throughout the week, but probably the best moment was Ryan's freestyle routine in the final round. The amount of energy that was created in that room in the short 2 minutes was astounding!! It was very reminiscent of the energy created during the singles net final match during the 1997 World Championships in Portland, between Randy and Kenny. Both were very magical moments for me in the World of footbag. All in all, another great Worlds!!! Thanks again for making Worlds the BEST week of my year. Your efforts and commitment to our wonderful sport are greatly appreciated. When we flew back from Vancouver, we stopped for gas in this little town in Wisconsin. Even though my legs were severely drained and beat down, and feeling like spaghetti, I just couldnít resist busting out my new snakeboard at every possible opportunity. So we pull into this little gas station, and I'm riding my snakeboard around the parking lot. This inquisitive car drives by real slowly, and the driver stops and rolls down his window and yells to me. I snake my way over, and he was just so excited to see someone on a snakeboard. He said he has a few, and rides all the time, but this was the first time he'd ever seen anyone else out in the general public with one. Then, he noticed I had my Worlds shirt on, and said, "Wow, did you just come back from Worlds?" He didn't ask what it was, he just already knew. I talked to him briefly, and he eventually said that he knew Bart, Kick in the Grass, etc. I forget his real name, but he said his nickname was "Spliff". Anyone know him? Anyway, I thought some of you might find that interesting. -cory
