I actually got a footbag out & kicked it at a free drum concert recently. I was thinking I may start kicking again a bit again. Anyone else care to share an experience with picking up footbag again after several years' hiatus? I'm not talking about trying to get back into competition, just kicking. Is there even a footbag list any more? Come to think of it I don't remember seeing any messages come through for at least several months. Hoping to hear back, Ida -- Ida Bettis Fogle "How does one hate a country, or love one? I know people, I know towns, farms, hills and rivers and rocks, I know how the sun at sunset in autumn falls on the side of a certain plowland in the hills; but what is the sense of giving a boundary to all that, of giving it a name and ceasing to love where the name ceases to apply?" I have a big favor to ask of you who are calling and leaving messages on my phone machine. Please speak up and say your phone number real slow and clear. I am still at a loss for someone who called and said they were from out of the country and wanted to hook up with someone else to split a room. They left their number twice, but I still can't figure out the end. It starts 845- (maybe 888 or 855)-something. Sound familiar anyone? Please call or email again. We will be in the upstairs sports bar. The steps are as you enter the building. We have a stage, huge bar, 3 pool tables, TV's, 2 dart boards, foosball, hockey, outside deck, the bar area and a long large room that opens to the bar area that has a dance (shred) floor. We'll have a sound system. We have a power point with photos of the Hall of Famers. We have a screen on the outer deck to use if I can get another projector to use with a computer. If anyone has one (or can borrow one from work) and is coming to the tournament please let me know. We will be calling the Beaver Open during the celebration. If anyone has a cell phone that has a speaker phone (we could hold up to the mike with hopefully no feed back) and would let us make a call to the Beaver, please contact me. I talked with the Brewery about using this place every year since we all go out to eat somewhere on Sunday night anyway. We have gone to the brewery the past 6 years after the tournament on Monday with about 25-30 people. We are hoping to make it an official part of our tournament. The brewery is just blocks from the Sunshine Park (you pass it on Cameron St) and less than a mile from City Island. For those of you who are wondering- if you want to be assured a players pack, you should preregister or register as early as you can on Sat. Yes, we have run out of players packs in the past. We can only guess at what we might need since registration doesn't end a month in advance. Email your fax number and I will send a form to you. Yes, we do accept faxed forms with MC or Visa payments ($2 extra process charge) Forms must be in my hand Friday. There is no fax at the tournament site on Sat. Hope to see you all real soon.
