INS/SC= instep scissor grab so an illusion twister would look like this INS/SC>OUT[DEX]>SAME TOE[DEL]. or you could go for a twisted mirage INS/SC>IN[DEX]>SAME TOE [DEL]. to pull of this move after you finish spining the hack out you would twist your body untill you could come back over with you left leg asuming you started the move coming from you right side, and then do a mirage. or you could do a twisted thurrican mirage. INS/SC>[BOD]>IN[DEX]>OP TOE[DEL]. this move is killer first you spin the hack out to your rigth and spin you body 360 deg and bring your right leg over from a in to out position kick it out with your left leg and stall on your rigth foot. I have been able to do the illusoin twister and a few others I haven't mentiond but as for the twisted hurrican mirage I haven't pulled that out of the hat yet. These are just a few examples I thought I'd mention cause it would be cool to come up with a new set starter and was hopeing for some feed back and descusions on the proper way to write these sets if there is one. thanks write back soon Stan Nelson. 12/02/2002 From owner-freestyle@footbag.org Wed Dec 4 00:05:27 2002 Received: from llic.net (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by llic.net (8.12.3/8.12.3/Debian -4) with ESMTP id gB485Rbl021427 for ; Wed, 4 Dec 2002 00:05:27 -0800 Received: (from majordom@localhost) by llic.net (8.12.3/8.12.3/Debian -4) id gB485RwG021424 for freestyle-outgoing@list.footbag.org; Wed, 4 Dec 2002 00:05:27 -0800 X-Authentication-Warning: llic.net: majordom set sender to owner-freestyle@footbag.org using -f Received: from mail pickup service by hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC; Mon, 2 Dec 2002 22:36:41 -0800 Received: from 210.55.98.99 by lw12fd.law12.hotmail.msn.com with HTTP; Tue, 03 Dec 2002 06:36:40 GMT X-Originating-IP: [210.55.98.99] From: "Simon Hughes" To: freestyle@footbag.org Subject: [freestyle] XBD mirage? Set a little over head high and start spinning slightly before you release the set. 2. Spin fast with your arms in tight and clean footwork. 3. Don't start the dex too soon. A lot of times I'll hurry on the dex and this causes the spin to slow down and I'll clear the bag but I don't have the speed on the spin to get the osis under it so it hits off my heel or outside of my lower leg on the osis. Wait just a little longer before launching the dex. 4. Keep your knee high on the dex and your heel in. A frequent cause of not hitting this trick for me is to run into the bag with the outside of my upper leg on the dex. I have to remember to drive that knee high to clear the bag. It's important to do this while keeping the heel in so that your spin doesn't slow down. 5. Spin through the trick. Sometimes I miss even when everything else was perfect just from not continuing the spin all the way through to the osis. Hope this helps. So I was kidding when I said the last update was final. This email is *really* important if you're attending the Chilly Philly, so please read all the way through. This email is also really long... sorry bout that. I had the tournament director's nightmare turn into reality when my venue basically cancelled on me (I'll tell you the whole story when you arrive here... The gist is that they created new last minute rules, and failed to keep their gym in good order so we can't shred there). Anyhow, this means that we had to switch venues... Yeah, the event is only few weeks away, so this was awful news. I spent the day near tears "talking" frantically to Kenny on the phone (he has now officially blocked my phone number from calling him. but... I know where he lives!! mwu haa haaa haaa) Only it turns out that switching venues ended up being a venue upgrade!!!! (sigh of relief by Mr. Riefer) Here's what you need to know. Our host hotel is (and has been) the Adam's Mark Hotel. Well, they're now also our venue. I was just there.. The shred space is sweet and the hotel itself is awesome. We'll have access to locker rooms, a pool, a bar, a restaurant, shops etc. We'll have plenty of room to shred our little hearts out (I'd say we can play 70 shredders comfortably).. And it turns out that we'll have way more time to shred if the desire strikes us. They've also reserved us tables for a late night dinner and drinks (players under 21 will need a guardian I believe) at their Applebee's restaurant onsite. And, you can still get the discount rate for the rooms there - I urge you to do this (it's cheap, the hotel is beautiful, shredding is right downstairs from your room). Email my contact directly to get your reservation (mention the Chilly Philly to get $84 per night I believe). Her name is Tonya Nowlin, and she is a saint for helping us out. Please feel free to mention this when you email her. Anyhow, her email address is tnowlin@adamsmark.com You can also check out the hotel at www.adamsmark.com Therefore, the good news is that the event goes on and has been *improved* by this most stressful of days. Also, the event is still minutes from downtown Manayunk if people are interested in going out on the town. If you're staying at the Hilton, you're 2 minutes away still. The downside is that I'm going to need to slightly raise the venue fee (hey! This ain't all free!). If you've pre-paid then you're exempt from this. Otherwise, I'm raising the venue fee from $2 to $4. Hopefully this won't break anyone's bank - it will help me not to break my own. That's the only downside. I'll be reworking the entire event listing at http://www.footbag.org/events/show/1032472601 so please check it out after the 18th of December to see all details. I will have every little detail you need. Once you've seen this, if you still have questions, email me or call me (I prefer email unless it's an emergency or unless you're Yacine). Thanks for listening.
