That reminded me that the footmart online has glow in the dark bags. Well, they are pretty cheap, but i'm flat ass broke, so I am going to make one. Has anyone made a glow in the dark bag yet? any ideas suggestions? One thought of mine, is that I could use mosquito netting as the fabric, and put the tiny glowsticks inside of it. I don't think this would work well, though. If it did, it would just be an expensive one time use bag. Can anyone else help me out on this? Thanks. Unfortunately did not see this in the dark, so don't know if it glowed sufficiently. But I'd like to experiment on a dollar-store rice bag. The proton was the ultimate, I wish that those would come back into existence. Juliet Jarod Evenson wrote: > I was kickin around tonight and was having a great time, but then it got > dark out. To: sewing@footbag.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-sewing@list.footbag.org Hi all! So, I am getting excellent results from my sewing/construction methods, only thing is, is that it takes 4hrs minimum to handsew a dirtbag and seal the corners, for example, an Octohedron from Ericīs page consist of 72 sides cut that in half to 36 sewn together at 7 minutes per vertex and that gives ya 252 minutes, Iīm averaging 10 stitches per vertex including an overstitch at each junction, I have no possibility to take this up full time (manufacturing) so I would like to exchange tips and tricks with others on sewing dirtbags, I am very experienced on the sewing machine as I worked 6 yrs as a tech for repairing parachutes and paragliders, I also have a good knowledge of materials and threads. Suffice to say, as long as toe pickups are refrained from, My dirtbagīs panels will wear out before the sand seeps out of the seams..My August 1st 2001 bag is still going strong and still hangin at 40 grams, is this normal for a dirtbag with 60hrs on it? What is the average lifespan of a dirtbag, all of the commercial ones Iīve seen are sewn the same as if it had plastic beads in it and last about one month (8hrs kicking) according to their owners..does anybody else seal the corners? Thanks in advance, Tracy ( a dude) Walker. P.S. just found a way that knocks off 84minutes by using a sewing machine... ===== one manīs edge is another manīs horizon.
