How is it possible to make a sandbag out of this stuff? it stretches, and you can see through it. There are tiny holes in it, and i'm sure sand can go through it. Personnally, i think Faux Suede is better than crushed panne, and it's about the same price too. _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com From owner-sewing@list.footbag.org Sun Aug 11 14:21:48 2002 Received: (from majordom@localhost) by llic.net (8.9.3/8.9.3/Debian 8.9.3-21) id OAA07279 for sewing-outgoing@list.footbag.org; Sun, 11 Aug 2002 14:21:48 -0700 Message-ID: <20020811212146.82773.qmail@web20106.mail.yahoo.com> Date: Sun, 11 Aug 2002 14:21:46 -0700 (PDT) From: Wayne Hagerman Subject: [sewing] Great sandbag material To: sewing@footbag.org In-Reply-To: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="0-1860004231-1029100906=:82379" Sender: owner-sewing@list.footbag.org --0-1860004231-1029100906=:82379 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii For sandbags, I think the best material to use is "sheepskin Chamois". The down side is that it is all one color, bug you can use Sharpies to dye it. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the automotive section, and it usually comes is a couple styles, one is pretty thin, and the other is about double the thickness. (both are good thickness to work with, the thinner will be more supple) I think this material is very good, because its pretty cheap, easy to find, and it is real leather so you know it will be durable. Well, any way, that is my 2 cents. Hope it helps somebody out. Phil --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
