I'm looking for anyone who sews in Australia and could let me know where I can get my hands on some plastic pellets. I'm also interested in talking to anyone who can suggest some alternative fillers other than organic ones. Thanks James From owner-sewing@eniac.yak.net Fri Jun 26 14:22:40 1998 Received: (from majordom@localhost) by eniac.yak.net (8.9.0.Beta5/8.9.0.Beta5) id OAA03711 for sewing-outgoing; Fri, 26 Jun 1998 14:22:40 GMT X-Authentication-Warning: eniac.yak.net: majordom set sender to owner-sewing using -f x-queue: mailqueue.netcomi.com at Thu, 25 Jun 1998 16:25:03 -0500 Message-ID: <35917048.5629@dallasfootbag.org> Date: Wed, 24 Jun 1998 16:31:52 -0500 From: Derric Scalf Reply-To: derric@dallasfootbag.org X-Mailer: Mozilla 3.0 (Win95; I) MIME-Version: 1.0 To: jok CC: sewing@footbag.org Subject: Re: [sewing] Trying to locate plastic pellets References: <35918746.720B7372@stgeorgeshs.qld.edu.au> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-sewing@footbag.org jok wrote: > > who can suggest some alternative fillers other than organic ones. > > Thanks > > James By other than organic, do you mean other than plastic beads? If so, you can try BB's. They are heavy, so don't use too many of them. Really though, you aren't going to get any better than plastic beads. I don't know if you have Wal-Marts in Australia, but if you do, you can get plastic beads in the crafts department. If you can find a place that makes plastic stuff via injection molding, that would work too. What they do is take a butt load of little plastic beads (enough for hundreds of footbags) and melt them all into a chair or something. They are cheap and some places are willing to give some away. Good luck in finding them. Later. -D
